Pre-Exit Audit

The Pre-Exit Audit

We built this audit framework the same way we evaluate every business we consider acquiring — with the rigour of an M&A professional and the practical eye of operators who'll be running the result. Now we make that same expertise available to business owners preparing to sell.

Our acquisition criteria are specific: one business, essential services, SEQ, $400–700K EBITDA. Most businesses we speak with are excellent — but not every excellent business is the right fit for what we're acquiring. The Pre-Exit Audit is how we put our buyer expertise to work for sellers regardless of whether we're the eventual buyer.

Where This Expertise Comes From

Every business we seriously evaluate gets the same treatment: a thorough operational audit, financial normalisation, AI and automation opportunity mapping, compliance review, and an honest picture of what a buyer would pay — and why. We do this because we owe it to every seller we engage with to be genuinely informed, not just interested.

Our acquisition criteria are intentionally narrow. We're buying one business — that's the commitment we make to the owner, the team, and the community they've built. Most businesses we speak with are genuinely exceptional, but excellent businesses can still fall outside our specific criteria for industry, geography, or scale.

The Pre-Exit Audit is how we make that buyer expertise available to every owner, not just the one we ultimately acquire. The analysis is the same. The rigour is the same. The goal is the same: help you go to market in the strongest position possible, and sell for the price your business deserves.

And for the business we do buy? We bring this same framework into ownership from day one — because we'll be the ones responsible for honouring what you built.

Investment

$6,500 - $8,500

Pricing depends on business complexity and team size. Most engagements fall at $8,500.

Most consultants charge $15-30K for this scope of work. We price it where we do because we genuinely want SEQ essential services businesses to enter the market at their strongest — whether we're the eventual buyer or not. Stronger businesses make for better transactions all round.

Availability

We limit Pre-Exit Audits to 5-6 per year — not because they're an afterthought, but because each engagement gets the same attention we'd give to an acquisition evaluation. This isn't a product we scale; it's a service we do properly. That means spots are genuinely limited.
